Transitive verb with 'as'
When I looked up on Long man online dictionary and oxford advanced
dictionary online for the word Hail , I saw it has been marked as
transitive verb. And also, I was noticed by someone's note that a verb
followed by a preposition will not be categorized as transitive verb. For
example in:
I came to his home
=> come is still intransitive verb.
So could you point me out the role of as in the example bellow:
The conference was hailed as a great success.
